The figures below are port-to-port sailing or flight time in normal conditions. They exclude origin cartage, customs clearance and final-mile delivery, and they do not account for peak-season congestion. Treat them as planning guidance, not a commitment.

Reading a transit time.
A quoted transit is the sailing or flight leg only. Door-to-door is normally that number plus five to ten days on ocean — origin pickup and terminal cut-off at one end, customs release and drayage at the other. Anyone quoting you door-to-door in the same figure as port-to-port is either being careless or optimistic.
What moves these numbers
- Peak season — roughly August to October transpacific; expect longer rail dwell and tighter space
- Transhipment — a lane with one transhipment adds days and adds a place for cargo to be rolled
- Rail leg — inland destinations like Toronto and Chicago depend on rail performance after the port
- Customs — a clean entry releases in hours, an exam adds days regardless of how fast the vessel was
